AA Bike Hire has been established for over 25 years in Lyndhurst, a lovely town right in the heart of the New Forest and a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. It is a family-run business so you can expect a warm welcome and plenty of insider tips. Their fleet is comprised of Specialised Hardrock and Haro Sport front suspension aluminium-framed mountain bikes, which are regularly serviced. This is one of the most reasonably priced cycle hire companies in the New Forest, but do bear in mind that they don’t take advanced bookings and work on a first-come first-served basis, so it is worth getting there early to ensure enough bikes for everyone at a good price.

Avon Tyrell Outdoor Activity Centre
Avon Tyrrell is run by the charity UK Youth, which is dedicated "to supporting young people to realise their potential". Its focus is on developing and promoting "non-formal learning opportunities for all". Located in the southwest of the New Forest, there are various bike tracks - a Blue Route that's an easy, accessible track around Avon Tyrrell, suitable for the use of BOMA wheelchairs (available for hire if pre-booked), a Red Route for intermediate riders, and Pump and Gravity Tracks for experienced riders only. Bikes can be hired from the on-site shop.
